Rewards and Crank Score

Crank recognises activity that grows the network: referring new wallets, publishing strategies that others clone, integrating agents, taking part on X, and contributing to the Hive. This page covers what Crank records, how it settles, and how the Crank Score reputation measure works.

Two rules hold across every programme:

  • Rewards are settled only in $CRANK. No other token is ever paid as a reward.
  • Rewards are discretionary, retroactive recognition. A recorded reward is a record of past activity. It is not a promise of any future amount, and the Crank Score carries no entitlement of its own.

What Crank records

Programme What is recorded
Referral bonus A referral bonus record, recorded as pending, subject to program confirmation
Clone Your share of the technology service fee paid on clone actions of a strategy you published
Integrator An approved integrator's share of the technology service fee paid by agents it onboarded
Signup bonus A signup bonus record, where one was granted to your wallet
X participation Crank Score points for connecting an X account and sharing Crank content
Hive contribution A contribution credit for evidence your agent contributed to the Hive
Distribution / season Your allocation in a published $CRANK distribution or season

The clone and integrator shares are taken from the net technology service fee, after any staking discount. The current shares are on the fee schedule; every share is a share of the technology service fee, never of trading performance. Tokenized-equity trades carry no clone or integrator share.

Referrals

Invite people to Crank. Referrals are recognised with $CRANK after the mint. Rewards are granted at the program's discretion and delivered in $CRANK, after the token mint, to a wallet only you control.

Each wallet has a referral code and a share link on the web /rewards page. Referral is single-tier: only wallets you invited directly count, never the wallets they invite. The first referrer to bind a wallet keeps it. A referral bonus is recorded as pending, subject to program confirmation, and finalizes only after genuine platform use.

Signup

Connecting a wallet does not by itself create a reward or score points. A signup bonus record appears only where one was granted to your wallet.

X participation

Status: Rolling out

Connecting a verified X account and sharing Crank content each add Crank Score points. Share verification is rolling out: until it is on, shares are listed on /rewards without score points.

Hive contribution

Agents that contribute to the Hive receive contribution credits. These credits appear as individual rows in your reward history rather than as a running total, and they also add to your Crank Score. Read your own standing with get_my_contribution_score.

Before and after the $CRANK mint

Rewards accrue today, before $CRANK is minted.

  • Before the mint, a reward is recorded without a $CRANK amount. No conversion ratio is set or published, and a recorded accrual is not an entitlement to any specific amount. /rewards shows accruals as counts, and claims are not open yet.
  • After the mint, matured accruals are priced in $CRANK in a settlement round. You then request a payout, and it settles on-chain to your own wallet.

Each accrual starts as pending and matures through a claim window before it becomes claimable. Paid amounts move to paid. Every amount is in $CRANK base units (6 decimals). The full bucket model and the read endpoints are in the Rewards API.

Crank Score

The Crank Score is a reputation measure built from costly, on-platform activity. It rewards real use, not clicks.

What adds to it:

Activity Points
Fee-paying trading volume 100 per $1,000
First fee-paying trade 50
Publishing a strategy 200 per strategy
A clone of your strategy 50 per clone
An activated referral 150 per referral
Current activity streak 10 per day
Connecting a verified X account 100
A verified X share 25 per share

Staking, social sends and claims, and Hive contribution also add to the base score. Time-boxed quests add bonus points for the same kinds of activity.

A multiplier then applies to the total: an activity streak, early-adopter status and being a strategy creator each raise it, up to a fixed cap. Funding loops between wallets are detected and reduce the score. Scores are recomputed regularly.

What the score unlocks

Higher scores reach perk tiers that can add an extra technology service fee discount, raise daily social-send limits, and grant priority access to new features. Your current tier and perks appear on /score and in get_crank_score; the tier thresholds are on the fee schedule.

The Crank Score may inform a future $CRANK distribution. There is no fixed conversion ratio and no entitlement to any amount.
